
Dr. Carla Irani
Dr. Irani obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from St. Joseph University in Beirut. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Cooper Hospital, USA, and pursued a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology.
She earned a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2017. Since December 2018, she has been an Associate Professor of Medicine at St. Joseph University, Beirut, where she teaches Allergy, Immunology, and Autoimmunity.
Dr. Irani is the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Immunology at Hôtel-Dieu de France in Beirut, Lebanon. She has been actively involved in research and has numerous publications in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology as well as other scientific journals.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, she is also the President of the Lebanese Society of Allergy and Immunology. She has received several local and American awards for her contributions to the field.
Dr. Irani has participated in numerous clinical trials in Allergy and Immunology. She specializes in the treatment of various allergic diseases, including urticaria, allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, and food allergies, as well as primary immunodeficiencies, among others.
